After the offending partner has been through coaching and a recovery process, they will need to make a full disclosure to their partner in order to free their mind and regain the trust of their partner back.

Disclosure is the process where on spouse discloses their indiscretions to their partner. Disclosure usually follows after both partners have had counseling to know how to cope with the information that is about to be revealed. Disclosure is a process, not an event that is best conducted in the presence of a trained professional. Disclosure should never be attempted without council because the aftermath can be far worse than never disclosing ones past.

The purpose of disclosure is to come clean and stop living a lie in front of your spouse. You can’t fully recover the trust from you partner as long as you are keeping secrets of your past history or addiction from your partner. Both partners need to be coached to prepared for full disclosure.
